you know, i've been reading, and that was one thing that struct me as funny, was when people started to talk about how there system is partitioned.  I assume everyone partitioned E to be the same size as it originally is, then created an F partition that had all the games on it, but with how people have beent talking, that doesn't seem to be the case, and they don't seem to understand the reason for the F drive.

now what i'm wondering is if people put the Avalaunch files on the C partition, if they get banned.  Currently I run bios 4183, which I don't believe you can modify, so i have all the avalaunch files on C.  i haven't been able to test my system because i'm at work.

Now i do have a friend who is saying he has the devkit on the E drive, and hasn't been banned.

I suggest we combine this topic with this one: http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=303050 . That way less multiple threads on the same topic.

Not at the moment. Something is going on, that is obvious. People need to express their thoughts in any way possible.

i have a modded box with x2 4981 modified to boot from F.  I have a 120GB samsung hard drive.  I've been on live before with no troubles..

C is totally stock. All my h4x0r stuff is on F.

I am going to go through my ms dash and delete any saved data from homebrew software like dvd2xbox. I want to ensure E is clean as well.

then I'm going to delete my cached data from E:\cache, x, y, and z

Then I'm going to pop in halo 2 and let it fly.  I'll post back with results..

I have a virgin xbox on standby just in case..

Hello All,

I wanted to share with you my experience, hoping to help solve this riddle.  I am using a modded XBox and am able to play on Live!.

Below is my current setup and Live! history:

(1)  I have never been banned.
(2)  I am using a modified hard drive.  This hard drive was in place at the time I signed up for Live! and has never been swapped out with another hard drive.
(3)  I downloaded and played the French leak from DVD.  I used XBC and XLink to play the leak up to this point.
(4)  Until today, I have not signed in to Live! for about 1.5 weeks.
(3)  Modchip is X2 with version 4983.06 BIOS.
(4)  HDD is 40GB, I do not recall the brand or model.
(5)  Evox is set to boot from C:.

These are the precautions I followed before signed-in to Live! with all of the current bannings in mind:

(1)  Deleted the French leak saved games and save games of all homebrew apps.
(2)  Deleted the contents of the "cache" folder.
(3)  Deleted the contents of X, Y, and Z drives.

I have purchased the retail Halo 2, downloaded the Halo 2 online update, and have signed into Live! via Halo 2 several times.  I have signed on and off of Live! at least 10 times, rebooting the XBox after each sign-out.  I have been able to connect to Live! for around 3 hours since I first attempted this all earlier today.

If I have excluded any information that might be useful, let me know and I will post it.

My hard drive is stock. And, of course...mod chip was off when i went to live.

I'm not a mod but I'm wondering why there would be a post telling pirates to delete their save games when get on Xbox live with a retail copy. Piracy is piracy isn't it? Even if you bought the game a week or two later.

played all night last night on live.  I must say I'm sick of the same 3 levels when playing free-for-all slayer.

Anyway, yeah.  No ban yet.  I will keep you all posted.
