Not sure if this applies to either of you but you can also be banned if you replace your DVD drive after going on Live.

haha actully I have my xbox in a in this slide out thing, i dont have a switch for the hds. I just switch out the hd manualy everytime i wana go on live. I didnt feel like getting a xtender and i have like 4 hds i use on it one for media , games and so forth and my orginal drive for xbox live. I started doing that back when people claimed ur large hd would get u banned. So i started swaping. Well didnt work lol i just got banned and i had no unsigned software on the orginal drive so im sure somehow they detected durring use of other hds. But how i cant think. I do keep my xbox connected to the net since i stream music from my pc using xbmc.....   Only thing though is i have a second xbox that is also modded with a xenium. I just copyed my gamer tag from the banned xbox and put it in the other one and also put the orginal drive with no modified software. That was 3 hours ago and i havent been banned again yet... and ive been logging on and off again. So really i have no idea if they saw that my other xbox was modded somehow they should have done the same with this one since its used just the same and is always connected in the living room for my family. So im stumped ........ ill let u know if this one gets banned by tomarrow.

Actually, my unmodded box is working fine with my same Live account, so I doubt they're banning gamertags.

Yes your unmodded box when they scan your hard drive they can see that so maybe certain gamertags that are listed in SIGS are marked for hard drive scan in there system possibly

I have seen a connection with all the bannings, it seems MS has found a way to see if you have a larger hd than the normal stock one. I got banned, then switched my hd, and put in a new eeprom and I got back on live. Yet when I go to "My Live" on the site It says I have no friends, but thats one feature I really don't care about for the time being. But I do get my stats on bungie.net So i doubt they are banning gamertags. So beware If you have a large HD, do not go on live.

**Went back to xbox website and my friends showed up, guessed their servers were just being hammered with the number of connections**
