Eeprom Question
« on: November 03, 2004, 08:07:00 PM »

I had recently fixed my friends hdd. it had been unlocked, so i used my x3's ftp settings (built into teh bios) to ftp in and fix waht needed to be fixed. then i used configmagic and his eeprom.bin to lock his hdd with his info. I backed up his info via evox afterwords. then i took my unlocked hdd and locked it with my eeprom.bin. I had looked at the eeprom key of my hdd and the eeprom that appeared on his hdd, and they had been the same. this reading was read off of my motherboard, correct? so all hdds would have teh same reading if they were locked on my motherboard. so i should now return his hdd to him and once he puts his hdd in his xbox, it will work because i locked the hdd with his info and he will be using his own eeprom (not mine) because the eeprom itself is stored on his motherboard. is all what I am assuming correct?
