ATTENTION: Solution For Xbox Live Bannings
« Reply #90 on: November 10, 2004, 08:24:00 AM »

I've got a crystal unmodded  jester.gif
but my friend just get banned while playing halo 2...he has an originale HD and a switch to turn off the mod.
He has also evox installed, and I think it's the real cause of the ban...

am I wrong?

Doas he need another original hard disk and eeprom?
I hope it will need only a fresh eeprom....

Sounds like your friend was banned in the past, and that is why he got hit this time.

Your friend should be fine with a new eeprom and a "Xbox Live VIRGIN" stock hdd.
If not a stock hdd, and will be using a "Xbox Live Virgin" upgraded hdd then he will need a new Xbox Live account.

feet14,

I DID have Avalaunch etc on my original HD, but I am restoring it to stock with Slayers and then reflashing with a new eeprom (just like the instructions on the first page, but without using a new HD). I realize that this is a risk, as it's possible MS may record HD serial #s, but I'm willing to take that chance. We'll see how it goes. As of this morning I'm not banned, and it's been a good 8 or so hours since I first went on Live with this new eeprom, new GT, old (reformatted) HD. Will surely post back here if I get banned again.

he was never banned before...
but for a week a friend (banned before) used his account on this xbox with a memory card... uhh.gif

don't let banned peolpe use their account on your xbox then!
your xbox get flagged and it's not your fault!

last question...
if he clear the original hd flagged with this ban and refresh the eeprom he can connect to live?

is it sure that he must change his stock hd?

I dont think this matters, as I have played on my friend's unmodded console with him, each of us using our own gamertags, and he did not get banned.

why don't you try with your old GT?
I think that it should works with a clear stock HD and a new eeprom

I'm not sure if anyone has tried that combination yet, but I'd be very interested to hear your status updates.

If a person sucks on XBL and doesn't have any stats, or doesn't care about their stats, then this would be a cheaper alternative. But a lot of guys, me included, would prefer to  spend the cash and get a safe XBL xbox  rather than lose our established GT.

its not a flag anymore guys... its anyone with a large hard drive... There is no flag... that was just BS, everyone with a large hard drive will be banned as i am with this new xbox with a large new hard drive that has not even booted with evox and the chip was removed as soon as i was able to lock it and put all the hacked software on the F:\ drive.

I presume from what you've said that you didn't go onto live until you installed the new HD.

I bet M$ surfs these forums and others like it. Also it is a sure bet that they must have a entire lab set up with xbox's and every mod chip out there to see what makes them tick. They might have a way to read if anything is on the LPC port switched on or off. Also if they are reading what's on HDD's and they find software that was made with stolen code from DEV kits it might be a matter of time before you get a knock on your door. They know where you live thanks to your credit card info. I found paying for a service only to hear 5 year olds kiddies screaming over the headset got old real fast. Also the way they keep track of single licence XP is to record the processor on which it was first installed. So I bet when they were at the blueprint stage of the xbox they must of thought of being able to check the processors serial number when ever they please when the console is on line. I might just be talking outta my ass on this but from what I heard the xbox was made to do alot more with on-line media that it does now. If that is true they must have ways of monitoring each connected box to their xbox live service which seems like a huge private network to me.
