ATTENTION: Solution For Xbox Live Bannings
« on: November 02, 2004, 09:03:00 AM »

THIS THREAD IS DEDICATED TO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE ONLY!!!

This thread is a branch from the disastrous forty page thread in this forum, and the following procedure is basically the primary solution derived from that entire thread. So, if you are still unable to become unbanned from Xbox Live, test the following procedure. If you follow these steps EXACTLY, you should be able to become unbanned from Xbox Live!

1. Acquire and install a new unbanned HDD.
2. Format the HDD and install the retail MS Dashboard using Slayers 2.6.
3. Acquire and install a new unbanned/unused EEPROM using ConfigMagic.
4. Register a new Xbox Live account using a different GT. (CRITICAL!!!)

You do not have to do step four if and only if you are installing an unbanned stock HDD.
Do not copy anything directly from your old HDD. Install all software fresh and copy any saved games using a memory card.

If you test the above procedure, try to follow the steps EXACTLY. If you cannot, note what you did differently. After completing the above procedure, be sure to post your detailed test results. If you were able to follow the steps exactly, be sure to vote above indicating success or failure.

And lastly, GOOD LUCK!!!

I think we need to make this thread a sticky....

Everyone,
this procedure has proven to be the only solution thus far.
4 people tried it and IT WORKS!

Noob's, give this method a try....

since this solution "works" is it possible to just switch harddrives when you want to play live? and when your not playing live either block internet access router level or just. unplug. I'll have to find a stock xbox hd, since i locked mine and cant unlock it.  sad.gif

Test it!

And copy some stuff into the 1st post from my thread, Cloaked. I think it could be a good idea to make this thread clear version of my mess wink.gif.

How about using old GT? Do you think it could be the problem? though I follow

1,2,3. I know the theory "GT is flaged" is believable but I don't wanna change old

GT. Is there any good method going back to XBL without doing procedure 4.

Is there any post about that? If you have a result about the test(going back to XBL

excepr for procedure 4) let me know.

thank  you.

the 2nd one?

The idea is to follow all 4, not pick and choose.

I think he means that he could not install the dash.

Im pretty sure that you can use your old gamertag since I was told that I could when my xbox was banned by someone at MS.

various websites and ebay have stock xbox hard drives for under 10 bucks...

nice to have this info in one place, rather than spread over 6 threads and almost 100 pages.
