I used to be able to play XBox Live fine using a shared internet connection (ADSL dialup), but having moved to a new house and getting cable internet installed, I'm having a few problems.

The connection begins with a wireless router in the hallway downstairs. I have a wireless and a normal ethernet card in my PC, and have configured the wireless network to allow Internet Connection Sharing. My XBox runs into a hub via ethernet, which my PC is also connected to.

At first, this worked fine - but after two or three connections to XBL, it suddenly stopped working. Thinking it was the Hub at fault (it started making an alarming high-pitched buzzing sound whenever it was plugged in), I've replaced it - but still no joy in connecting.

Anyone come across a similar problem before? I've read that XBL doesn't like ICS with a wireless connection, but if that's so then I have no idea why it let me play a few XBL games before it decided to stop working...
