I have tried everything I know, and every tip I have found on the net to try and get an Xbox to work with a Linksys WGA54G game adapter. My router (Linksys WRT54G) is correctly set with the SSID and the channel the same. I have run the Linksys setup Wizard per instructions and the wizard reports that the adapter has been successfully configured for infrastrucure net play. I have no security settings as I am tyroubleshooting this.
I then plug and power the adapter to the XBox per instructions. Though the Xbox recognizes the adapter as being present, it tells me that it is not connected to a network. I am asked if I want to connect to a network and I say yes. I see my linksys network listed I chose it, verify the settings and save.....nothing..comes back and still has no connection.
I have been at this a couple of days now and while I am no expert in wireless I think I have learned alot and am able to follow the directions. Maybe the adapter is bad? It seems to be functioning fine so I don't really think thats it.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
