hey dude. I didnt d/l h2(am i the only one?) and I was still banned. It has nothing to do with playing h2 on live, and quite frankly, you are sounding very uninformed of the way the modscene works.

What do you mean? They can ban my CC but they don't ban my GT? What's the point? They even HAVE NO RIGHT to ban the Gamertag and not at all the CC. Just say that they even call the police and the SWATS.

Ok I am an opened minded individual, I have just read what you have said & it does not make much sense.

(1) Ms do not ban credit cards they ban Eeproms.

(2) You would have to be pretty dumb to try & play a pirate/backup copy of any game on the xbox live service, Ms do a hash check on your bios each time you log in & would ban you for using a moddified bios.

(3) Special Dash update?? I don't think so although not unlikely, I imagine H2 would only update your dash as much as any other Live enabled game would.

If you could provide us with some more info then we would be prepared to listen, for now this is only scepticism.

Are they tracking people that are downloading the game from the tracker by snooping on it? if so then quite right....

Exactly..

So what's up with all these stupid topics lately? You can't play Halo 2 on Live yet.. MS doesn't and can't change the IP of the Xbox when you are banned.. what else are these n00bs (quite frankly they are) are going to say next

Basically, the guy who started this thread is an IDIOT...

And it seems the best way to get on live is with an unmodded xbox.  A friend of mine got banned a few days ago, because he's also an idiot.  No hocus - pocus banning.

Bought a refurb for $120, recovered account, back up and running the next day.

I guess BILL is more ruthless than we all thought.
