You will most likely be banned tomorrow, based on current trends.

Could be, but the only way of finding out for sure is testing !

Just to be absolutely clear...

A couple of questions to knodi, sakuraix, CookieMonster2, etc. who have been banned with a new EEPROM...

With the new EEPROM, are you actually getting the proper banned message, or just 'cannot connect' or 'Live not found' type messages?

Please post your XYZ codes, this may help to see what's going on.

Could it be that the banned ppl has been playing on xb connect or similar services?

The early release of this freched version game had them pissed off... and 2 words came to my mind: IP Loged

Most of the ppl playing live today is cable broadband users, and most of this ISP's will have you with the same IP for days, even weeks and some of them even uses static IP's, so, lets say, you went on xb connect and played whatever the game u ussualy play there. Since they're pissed off... you get banned the next time you connect to Live with your already loged IP address.

The game theory is complicated.. not saying it's not possible... but it's hard to conceive. Usually when that kind of thing happend was an xbox live update that turned on your auto sign in settings without letting you know.

I am going to go Live tonight after at least 1 and 1/2 months without playing ANYTHING on xbox Live... I'll keep you posted.

Edit: Just for the heck of it... I had xbox Live and modded box for 2 years now... and never, EVER been banned... so we'll see.

why would you get banned for using a tunneling service? they are not illegal and can be used on non-modded xboxs with purchased games... they don't have any way of knowing if ou are playing backups or originals on those tunneling services anyways... IMO, it has nothing to do with tunneling services...

You haven't understood it. Read the first post until you get it.

smack_blitz: The new title of this game simply killed me biggrin.gif. Hahahahaha.

Still I don't know what so many users. But sure thing is, that people who had got banned, got banned again, and again, and again. Because the hardware was all the time the same. What I mean is the HDD serial number detection. It's almost sure for me. Why do I also deny HDD content detection and HDD brand? Cause I did not get banned yet and I will not get banned cause I'm very careful. My Y is 00A8-4800. But it still may be those games. Don't say that you did not get banned, cause you haven't played EA sports 2K5 series, the leaked game. Tell me what games did you play before getting banned. AFAIK: THUG2 is also one of those.. I will be checking the "calling home" again today and will report results.

ORRRRR... the MS spied XBConnect for a while and banned alle the people playing the leaked game smile.gif. But even I don't believe it wink.gif.

maybe "Big Brother"  intentionally leaked the french game to weed out the modders out there.  If i was MS, and people started modding my machines, i'd be pissed to.  dry.gif

I haven't downloaded the french game, and I still got banned tongue.gif

Well I have both BurnOut 3 and Star Wars Battlefront.
I know that Star Wars tries to connect as soon as you get the game started.
I had my ethernet cable plugged in when I booted Star Wars up for the 1st time and rushed and unplugged it as soon as the freakin game was tryin to connect online.

Now I thought I reached the plug in time but I will admit that I didn't even try to connect after that. I only tried connecting a few weeks after that, which was on the 19th of this week. Right after I installed my new X3.... I was shocked to see that I had been banned again....

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the way people are gettin banned as not everyone started getting banned on the 16th to present day.
I thought I saw some cats in here say that they were banned a few weeks ahead of everyone else....

I have had a modded xbox for over 2 months, never been banned.

just gotta remember to turn your chip off.

thats the nice thing about Aladdin Live chips, the hacked bios are on the chip(thats what I have been told), and are turned on when you hold the power button.
