But they have ban normal chip users. I don't have the game, but I made the list after playing a legit game with my chip off.

This was reported by someone on another site. I thought some of you might find this amusing.

"*I called xbox customer support 'bout live! not working and "the xbox can tell if the screws have been removed"*

Be warned, MS are using new clever screws!

But seriously ... its either frightening how poorly MS train their tech support, or its frightening how dumb they think people are. "

And the sad part is. That a good number will actually believe that. No joke.

I have been banned because of using the m8 which didn't protect against live aware games....7 times in the last 4 months and changed my eeprom about 3 weeks ago.

This is how I remember thursday (the day I got banned);  I played madden online, logged off switched to modded side of the house and loaded up Tiger Woods 2005 messed around with the tutorial and went to work....two hours later I got the above mentioned email about being suspended.

LMAO

ok... if I did ever decide to download H4lo 2 before it comes out, the LAST thing i would EVER do is try to SIGN INTO LIVE!

Jesus, I hope its live aware.... serves ya right, but you screwed us modchippers that are "keeping it legal" with xbox Live.

Do we have enough modchippers to boycott xbox live? That may change their mind about banning modders.

This is quite absurd if you think about it because:

A) MS does not care

B) MS does not care

C) MS does not care

Has anybody thought about trying to contact MS and see what is actually going on instead of all of us speculating? I would but, I have already contacted them before for the same thing and I am not going to do it again.

wink.gif The people that you will be in contact with woudn't know shit anyways. There was a post a few days ago, someone tryed that and the Rep said "The XBOX can sense if the screws have been removed." Getting a straight answer from MS is not even worth the effort.

Actually you'll get the run-around....I called MS about the second email they sent confirming my account termination which stated "call billing to re-activate your account" So, I did.....Well sir, we here at the xbox live help desk have nothing to do with your banning and you would need to go to xbox.com click on community/Community Voice and look for the topic that best suits your situation.  It is that community that has cancelled you account....I then asked what about the guidance I got from your office about writing MS HQ to dispute the violation claim...Well sir, that could help, but you need to talk to the guys over at the xbox.com community.........

So basically MS just got a free $58.97 from two weeks ago for renewal plus an $8.95 for service 3 days ago....and all they can say is we don't know the answer!

Well its not the games that are causing this because, I played SWBF on XBOX Live about 2 weeks ago and I had no problems. Then all of the sudden I go to play it the other day and I find out that I am banned. I think that they have some way of detecting that we have modchips installed and they are banning everyone because they are pissed off about Halo 2 being leaked. Its kind of like O.K. you "pirates" want to steal our game then we'll show ALL OF YOU even though the majority of us are innocent and don't even have HALO 2. Also how long after you guys were banned did you recieve the e-mail from MS?

immediately for me
