I got the same thing. Is it possible that this has to do with the early release of HA|O 2? M$ is pissed about that. I mean these two things did happen at the same time.

got a new email

Hello ******,

Thank you for writing to Xbox Live regarding player denial concerns.

We understand your frustration on this matter.

Plese note that Account Lockout is a form of penalty imposed when a player violates the Terms of Use. It prevents the player from being able to log in and use the service for a specified period of time. You will need to wait for the Account Lockout period to end before you can log back into the service again.

Account Lockout can last for a period of one day, one week or two weeks based on the severity of the infraction of the Terms of Use. After an account lockout has been imposed, it can not be appealed or rescinded.

For more information on your Xbox Live account, please contact Xbox Live Customer Care phone support - 1-800-4MY-XBOX. They are in the best position to properly address your account concerns.

Phone support is available 7 days a week, from 8:00am - 12:00am CST. The call is toll free in North America.

Please have your gamertag ready, and this ticket number (********) for reference.

In case you have other Xbox Live concerns, feel free to write back. We take feedback on Xbox Live and our Customer Service very seriously and review customer comments daily.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline

I have come across many people that have recieved this. There are numerous things that could have been done to get this so we're not sure what caused it. Have you done anything odd lately on live? Have you upgraded your hard drive?

Just to let you all know, if you learned how to hexedit and decypher the .xbe from Halo 2 you would NOT be playing it, IP Identify. Good luck anyway.

I bet money all the recent problems are due to this particular "game"...Of course people are not going to say they played it, else they would be banned. Instead they explain it in a roundabout way.

Its funny how the advent of this game happens, and then a flurry of posts of banning. I doubt MS would ban normal chip users. They pay for the games they are playing, and they pay for a subscription. I rather think what lepper said is true....They have all these XBOXs trying to sending responses for an item that isn't even out.

I haven't touched the Halo 2 as tempting as it is, but the restraint is sweeter than trying to enjoy something as risky as this....besides it's in french so the NFO says.
