Ok, i just decided to finally start playing on live, and i gotta say its pretty awesome!  I started with one of those 2 month trail user subscription, and i dont have the headset and stuff.  So when this subscription end, i'm going to go out and buy a starter kit that comes with the headset, but i was wondering one thing, will MS automatically charge the credit card i put in when signing up? Because i dont want it to charge my card, i want to go out and buy the starter kit and put in the little code like i did with the 2 month trail.  Please help a noob to xbox live! thanks in advanced.

no, it wont charge your credit card. You put in the code from the starters kit and it will add 12 months to your subscription. Also I would recommend buying off of ebay... you can get a starter kit and a game for $50, which is the price of just the 12 months straight up. or since you have 2 months wait for a deal to come around from best buy or walmart then go take advantage of it.
