Strance Latency Problem

Hi guys!
My network configuration is:
LinuxBox------>wireless------>AccessPoint---->ethernet---->Xbox

If I make the connection test my L value is 230ms (P 235) or similar! I've thought that the problem was my access point but if I make the test with a cable connection Xbox-->PC the result is the same.

PS:
from my pc I can ping xbox with less then 1ms of latency.
from my pc I can ping maya.ngi.it (an italian host) with 40 ms of latency and xbox-scene with 150 ms of latency

So, what can I do? I've tried to play rainbow six but the lag is too high!
