Copying Eeprom Onto Another Xbox...
« on: September 01, 2004, 01:25:00 PM »

Okay, first of all...... I'll state my reason for this. I wanna be able to transfer temp characters from PSO Ep I&II(and my good non-modded LIVE only xbox) to my modded xbox with PSO offline/patched(flashed TSOP xbox and 120GB locked HDD). However, characters from my non-modded xbox will not be able to get recognized or used on the modded xbox because of differing EEPROMS.

Now I was thinking that I'd just use some memcard pack and 007 AUF exploit to load EvoX on my Green Halo Edition Xbox and then run the EvoX Backup command to generate a eeprom.bin file, then FTP that file to my computer, and then FTP that file to my modded(TSOP flashed) xbox and run ConfigMagic Final as described here to replace my EEPROM to be the exact same as my legit xbox.

Question is, is this possible???? Or is there a conflict of interest in differing Xbox versions?? I have no clue what version the Green(Translucent) Halo Edition xbox would be since its un-modded. Tho I know that my black modded xbox is v1.0

I'm thinking that if I pull this off, I can transfer characters back n forth(with AR or another method) to hack/modify the characters in my modded xbox with pso offline, and then transfer back. And since I never will take the modded xbox online anyways, it makes no difference if both have the same EEPROM's....

But I might be going out of my way to do something soo trivial or useless in the end. Please correct me if I'm approaching this all the wrong way....
