Yea man just tape that sucker up and no you cannot get a refund , but I do think that MS should be shot for being the software giant it is and making such a crappy headset . Peace

I dont know one person in my area who hasnt broken that thing. Two of my friends said it happened to them, so i was on the phone with one of them as i said "What the hell are you talking about, this thing doesnt break...." *SNAP* haha it broke when i was just hardly bending it

You don't necessarily HAVE to buy the MS headset.  I've found that any headset that you can use in a cordless telephone will work great.  In fact, that is what I did.  My original headset is still in it's bubble-wrap in the box.  You can buy a headset which is most comfortable on you.  BTW - you might need to shave away the plastic around the plug for it to slide into the controller adapter.  Cheers
