Try setting your xbox live settings to auto.

When I have my chip on my dash changes the IP config.
When I go to ms dash it wont connect to live until I change it back to auto.

yeah cause when you change your setting with (example) evox to ftp then you go and disable your modchip and you boot m$ dash and go to network settings..........the network settings are the same as your setting on evox so all you have to do is change it back to automatic then you will be able to play(i hope)
