Netgear Wireless - Can't Connect To Xbox Live

Try setting the DMZ for the ip the xbox has, and disable upnp....seems to be the soloution for most people regardless of router make.  Disable uPNP was the soloution for me.

D-link di-624 has an option called gaming mode that i have to turn off to be able to use XBox live.  Don't know if that helps but if your router has a similar option you might want to turn that off.

Thanks for the replies, gang.

I somehow got everything to work.  I took out as many variables as possible and got on to Live, then I just gradually configured all the hardware.  (first no wireless, then wireless but in same room as router, than downstairs without computer on, then finally with computer on and other downloads going.)

Live works great.  I have seven games.  Now I just wish there were more variety in games, but I guess that's for another thread.

I'm sorry but i did not read the whole post. When connecting via wireless to the xbox, I think the xbox is assigned 2 mac addresses one for the xbox and the other for the wireless adapter.
