It would probably depend on what bank or financier the cards are issued through and what the activation process is for them.  If they require you to call and activate them and then give your personal info then they would probably accept it for LIVE sign up. If the cards are just active as soon as you pay for it and does not require you to give any personal info then they probably will not accept it as they need to verify the card holder info and believe that the card can be billed again when the LIVE contract is due for renewal.
