I just did the above, and it worked okay.

Formated C and E with slayers, and installed the original dash.   Booted up PGR2 (running gthe M$ bios), and chose Xbox live / create account.

It installed the dash off the disc, rebooted, and got the new update.  Sweet.

Now, the only trouble is, it tells me my PGR2 save is damaged  sad.gif , even though i've transfered my entire E: partition back accross.  I had that problem getting my save from my old Xbox onto my new Crystal one.  I still can't remember how i solved it.

EDIT:  Fixed it.  Used SmartFTP instead of my expired FlashFXP.

Well update works fine with my unmodded Xboxes, haven't tried with modded, but it seems it works fine for most people.

Ok This is what i did , went LIVE , it did the update , went to LIVE tab , selected my Gamertag , it gives me the cannot connect and ask me if i want to troubleshoot the connection , i choose yes , everything is green , i go back and same thing cant connect , i everything is green , but if i press the Y it gives me the ussual screen when it used to display the speed (now they removed it) , i hit ok , and i get this.

huh.gif has M$ started banning HD? and no i havent gotten the Modified Error.

this is a first , i dont know what to say but i read that many people  did the update with out any probs. i will update mine as soon as i get home but this got me thinking.i guess i should wait out the week like i said before

question...we all wonder if they're banning us in this new tsunami update, which i did update and nothing has happened so far with 120 gig maxtor...but can't we just ask them in their interactive chat?  Or will they just say like they don't know?

not sure why but i too have been having problems updating...itll say something about me having to unpdate so i click an then the screen comes up sayin downloading with a statis bar an then it says Xbox Live not responding. Please try again later...ok ive tried this after i got from school (330 eastern) and thats the first time i saw it....ive tried it once at 2am an tonight at 1am...still same error....im going to delete old live stuff an try to do a full update....if that doens work im puttin in my original hdd an deletin all the old mod crap on it an guna try it....i hope this has nothin to do with big hdd...maybe thats why they did the hdd checks b4 for model numbers or whatever....

i'm wondering if anyone has even tested the 4980+ x2 bioses with xl3.0 yet, does it still block access?  according to how it works i know that it should still block live, but i'd like to know if it does infact still block it
also has anyone heard about the 480p support for this new dash yet?  supposedly you hit lt+rt+thumbs it'll take you to a pro-scan version of the dashboard (if you ahve pro-scan enabled and a monitor/tv that supports it

Actually, I got that too, but I hit B and got out of there since I did not undertood what the heck was it... Everything worked just fine.... I am still able to go on Live.

My auto-login was not changed from being Off after the update.
