Non-banned Livers With Large Hd
« on: March 07, 2004, 10:38:00 PM »

With all the people getting banned with "their modchip turned off" and blaming the large HD I thinks its an important point that a lot of us are still using Xbox Live with a Large hard drive and no banning problems. its business as usual REALLY disable your modchip and use a retail game. Anyone else like myself still on live with a large HD and no probs?

to me if it is true that MS is doing that then he will just lost some of his revenue.  I don't think this is true, well i will believe it when i do really see a page of people who got banned from M$ when they even havde the chip on. Well anyways i don't why i when and bought live i don't even use it at all men i. I just spend my 50 dollar for nothing i don't even use it at all. Well let me know guys if you got banned, even if your chip is off.

no ban here on a 60gig western digital....however, last night (sunday),. my hdd all of a sudden stopped working whenever i was signed into live, and i noticed i had to press in the power supply as hard as i could to make it work.  I also noticed when i did get it working on a live game, i had many disconnects and freezes.  So i switched back to my original hdd and all is well again, no holding in the power and no freezes....is this a sign or is my hdd just fucked up?

.. I don't think MS will fry the HDs. Probably an entirely seperate issue

If 1,000 out of the 500,000 live users are banned, that's at least $50,000 a year they are losing out on. Not to mention the drop in game sales due to the fact that people won't waste their time on originals anymore. And think if the modded live userbase is higher than 1,000. Then again, we are dealing with MS here.

No ban on my 120 gig HDD.  I have a v1.0 xbox and played on xlink with Rainbow Six 3.  However RS3 is a live aware game and connects to live attomatically, but I never got banned from using xlink with a flashed TSOP and hacked bios.  I think it might have to do with the fact that my HDD was never updated with the "Xbox Live" tab on the M$ dashboard.  I consider myself very lucky that my dash wasn't upgraded, or I would be banned.  Been on Llve since Christmas.
