What happens if 2 people try to use the same one? Does the original person that it came from get banned?

How can it ban one person, but not the another when they are using the same EEPROM?

No, the EEPROM can not be used at the same time on Xbox Live. In doing so, the EEPROM will be banned.. thus banning both people.

I don't really mean at the same time, I meant like if the original Xbox has a eeprom that works, and then another person puts that same eeprom in their xbox, while the original is offline, do they still get banned?

As I said.. doesn't matter who uses it, once the EEPROM is banned.. everybody with that EEPROM is banned.

So.. use X2 4981 to disable Live with modchip on.

But it was a working eeprom, so it still gets banned when they find out that 2 people are using it? How do they distinguish one person from another.

OK, here is it goes..

Both Xboxes are using the same EEPROM. So, they are the same Xbox when they log into Xbox Live. MS doesn't distinguish them as Xbox 1 and Xbox 2. The Xboxes are connecting to Live, and MS is seeing their EEPROM, which is the same for both Xboes.

When one XBox is banned from Live, so is the other one because they are using the same EEPROM

Hope that helps..

But how did the Eeprom get banned in the first place. It is an unbanned eeprom.

Well someone logged onto Live with their modchip on. That is how an EEPROM gets banned. Yeah.. it may have been unbanned, as all EEPROMs are orginally.. but they can get banned.

Let me refine this for you.

Jake has an Xbox that has never been banned and is fully functional on Xbox Live.
Jake gets a modchip and uses configmagic to get his eeprom. He turns off his modchip and can still play on Live. He then gives his eeprom.bin file to John. John has a modded Xbox, and he puts Jake's eeprom on his Xbox. He tries to connect to Xbox Live with his modchip off, but can't. Now even Jake can't connect. Why did this happen?

It says Network Error on the 4th checkbox in the troubleshooter, so the connection is alright.
