Hey I got a eeprom thats off my friends xbox and hes never gonna use live. But I cant get the actual eeprom file off his xbox is that a problem? Cause i just tried entering it with config magic and doing all the steps but when i try to sign on to live it says cant sign on cause of technical information or something

Use 007 hack to get into your friends xbox to grab eeprom then follow tutorial to restore eeprom.

emanboss, thanks for your reply.

I just finished reading the tutorial for configmagic final. Do I need a another eeprom? I don't have a 6 in my Y code, I have the 00C2. So I'm not banned. if I reflash it with the same eeprom, will that work? Has anybody ever tried this? While im waiting for replys...anyone selling any eeproms?

I tried updating with config magic and had no luck. So I used the 007 hack to get another eeprom from my friends xbox to replace mine and it worked. Followed shanafan tutorial, easy to do and effective. Just trying now to get my stats back up their since I was off for about 2 months. I had the 00C2 code also and to my knowledge I didn't go on live but maybe I did and didn't know. Oh well all is well now.
