I put my stock hard drive in and I'm still unable to connect to LIVE.  Same problem as WD120gb drive.  I set it to automatic and connected my xbox straight to my cable modem (worked before).

I read that my Y code 00C2 means a hardware problem, not sure what that could be.

Franjo I have the same exact codes as you do. I have posted before and really haven't gotten a straight answer on this problem. My situation was that I upgraded to a maxtor 120gig hd with no chip tsop flashed and was able to play on live. Then I got a good deal on a 250gig and now I"m not able to connect. Tried using avalaunch method everything is okay. I have another eeprom but am holding off to see if somebody replies with a solution.

I too am having difficulty connecting to Live! tonight.  It all started about an hour ago.

I haven't connected to Live! in quite some time.. but I was getting prepared to FTP into my XBOX when I bumped the A button while EvoX menu had MS Dashboard selected.   2 seconds later I get the Modified Hardware error....

So, I disconnect my 120GB HDD and put in my ORIGINAL HD.. turned off the mod chip, tried reconnecting and now I am only getting a Network Error.  It's suggesting that I check/change settings in my router or configuration.

I figured what the hell... if I am banned, I am banned...  might as well call MS and try to find out for certain.  The rep I talked to was not very helpful, and didn't seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he told me there appeared to be something wrong with the network tonight, try again tomorrow.  He didn't ask me for anything but my name, so I am pretty certain he never looked up my account.

So many people seem to be having problems connecting tonight (Feb 11 or 12, 2004)  maybe the network really is down.

I also cannot connect to live. I get the following codes:

1.00.5659.03
W:0000-000B
X:0000-F001
X:00C2-01E4
Z:AFFF-0018

Modchip was turned off, I have an Executor 2 chip with switch. I have installed Evox with Slayer's 2.5.

Any ideas anyone? I'm I banned or what went wrong?

When I get home I'm going to call the 1-800-4my xbox number and see if they can help me any, i'll also contact my ISP to see if there is anything specfic I need to do to get live running.  I'm sure that's not the case as I was always connected before, but as with any problem........process of elimination.  Will keep the thread updated as I get more info.
