ERRORS
I experienced these errors when I was doing this

1) Xbox dash loads fine but the xbox live sections is a black screen with funky sounds
A) Make sure you transferred everything , I hadn't transferred the updated default.xbe

2) Xbox Dash doesnt load
A) FTP your backups and try to do it over again

As with all other mods, I'm not responsible for anything you do to f' up your xbox, or get banned from xbox live

Ah yes, forgot to mention the xboxdashdata.10027100 on the old hdd should appear as xboxdashdata.17f14d00 or at least did in my case.

More or less this, my 80 gb has a 8 mb cache and cant be locked, but this prevents any updates being done by "accidently" clicking the xbox live tab in the dash or the games, plus it's just spiffy

1) If your 80 GIG can't be locked, what is the point of putting Live 2.0 on it then?
2) A unlocked HD can still connect to Live. You will just be banned because your modchip is on.

Just spiffified , I dunno, and I know it can login with the chip on, and that's what i dont want happening, this way, it asks me what nick to log in with, and so on, so it wont kick off an update

So.. you just disabled auto sign-in.. which you did a lot of hardwork just to disable a setting for something that you aren't going to use..

If you have a 80 GIG HD, which can't be locked, then don't even bother with putting Live 2.0 on it.

Well, mr pessimistic, i dunno why you're flaming, I just was pretty pleased that I could get everything running properly, and tried to share it but apparently that's not good? In any case, i dont regret doing it, and im happy that it works, it's just so i can say , i did it, nothing more

What you are explaining is that you took time to do something completely superfluous... it is a moderators job to help others from trying to do the same thing.

If you have an 80gig unlockable drive, than you are only asking for trouble by loading a dashs that has the option of turning on auto sign-in. Why even upgrade to a dash that has it at all? You can use absolutely zero of the features of the new dash.

Not flaming, just questioning your motives. "Because I can" does not seem like reason enough to do this.

this thread is stupid , why bother upgrading Live on a unlockable drive if youre not going to use it? , and yes dont be stupid you can transfer files and it will work.

The real question is :

WHY MAKE A THREAD THAT HAS STUPIDITY WRITEN ALL OVER IT!!?
