Im kind of confused but i believe you said you switched your xbox to PAL even though its really JPN. Well since you cant log on with your chip on how would you even run an official pal game on a jpn box without your chip on (unless you have a region changer which you didnt specify)

I beleive it does yeah. I used ConfigMagic to do the same with my US Xbox and I could then boot and play the UK version of MotoGP2 on Live....... However........

I've only done this once, just to try it, so I might have been banned later that day. I'll try playing it again when I get out of work tonight and I'll let you know if it still lets me on.

Anyway, I tested Live again this morning and it still works perfectly! I've connected with both US games (Splinter Cell) and UK games (Moto GP 2) and it works fine. Just remember to change the region depending on what game you're playing!

And if anyone's wondering I first connected with Splinter Cell back in July, and Moto GP 2 when I first posted my message in this thread... Then I connected again a few days later (today) so IMO they've had plenty of time to ban me based on the game regions I'm using, but just haven't. So it all looks good!

Yeah you can. Live doesn't seem to make a connection between your billing region and game region. I'm using a UK Live kit myself with my US Xbox.

Just make sure the chip's off when you setup Live!

I have a problem i think might relate.........
i have a pal xbox playing pal games but can only connect or host to ntsc games on xbconnect.....i don't think it's xbconnect related.

Squeeze: That's a bit wierd.. Have you changed your video mode using CM or the Enigmah Video Selector? Other than that I can't help cos I've never used XBConnect or any other tunneling progs. Sorry.
