When you access Live 2.0 tonight, you will get a new update. After the update, it briefly says that Live will occasionally download updates for games.

And it gave this link:

Not sure what MS updated, but maybe it was just some patch to improve the service.

BTW, does anyone WITH Live 1.0, can you now get the 2.0 update?

i had Live 1.0, and succesfully downloaded Live 2.0.

I bet this is the finalazation of LIVE 2.0. I remember reading that what we had previously was only LIVE 1.7, and they hadnt implemented all the full features.

If I recall correctly, we are supposed to be able to communicate cross game (meaning you could be playing unreal and I could be playing RTCW, and we could setup a voice chart channel, and talk cross game). I read an article about this ability a while back on xbox.con in the LIVE section.

So shanafan....when did you get this update? Did you see it just this morning? Have you noticed any new features?

Well, keep on trying then. I had to try at least 15 times to get the original Live 2.0 update...

Yeah, don't worry. Can you imagine how many people are trying to get this update. The servers must be battling. Took me about 15 tries on each of my machines to get this update.

The strange thing is that i had the update 1 one try, i had V1.0 Before and now i have V1.7 or V2.0.

i had a tremendous amount of homework that day due to exams, etc so while i was working i would just keep trying every now and then. i couldn't ever get it the first day it came out, i had to wait until the next morning very early.

So I guess theres nothing different that can hurt us with this final update right......just a few added features to complete 2.0 from 1.7?

I still havent updated from 1.0 yet and dont wanna walk into something if they have implented something new since the 1.7 update.
