Nice, I'm not BIG on Halo, but in SoF2, the clan I'm in a very good. I'm not fuckin' awesome or anything, but when we play as a team we dominate everyone.

I upgraded this morning, and it still doesn't work - even though this latest version says "added support for MS Xbox" - not endorsed by MS

Has anyone been able to get past this error (if they have seen it)? I have tried all sorts of things to get the update to download, but no dice. Please help, if you can....

Just so you all know, I have had no problems with updating my live to 2.0. I have a 120gb hd in it and an x2pro. So, it's not a hardware issue.... as for routers, I got one that specifically said it supported xbox live and i have never had a problem with it.

I know this offers no help, but atleast wanted to say peeps have had success...

BTW, I am in Detroit - only about 500 miles from Lousiville, we should all get together just for the hell of it

I have tried plugging the xbox directly into the cable modem, but that didn't help either, so I am really at a loss as to what the problem could be.

Well, thanks for the comment, but I know that to be very very untrue.

I can still play on live just fine. I have gotten live 2.0 installed and working, and none of my X,Y,Z codes start with 6. So i can't be banned.

Hey, I've been getting the same problem. I have a 120 gig maxtor diamondplus hd locked, and an executer 2.2 lite chip. I keep getting the technical difficulties and i have a d-link 604 router (has worked on live for a long time). I live in Ohio. I will see what I can find.

I have the same problem and if u ask me, i think MS shud put out an update disk that updates ur dash for u instead of having to dl it off there site....... or put the dash update in all the new xbox live games coming out along with those 2 month trial subscriptions.............

The files are rather large. They total around 172 mb.

here are the folders you need: (and all contents)

Audio
Fonts
Xboxdashdata.17e4cd00
xodash

here are the root files you need:

xbox.xtf
xbox book.xtf
xboxdash.xbe

The above folders and files are the ones used for the initial live 1.7 (or whatever it was considered). Once you get them, you will be able to download the latest and greatest with no problems.

Best bet is probably to find a friend that lives close that can burn to a disk or will let you ftp to get.

Aww man. Guess I'm out of luck. Nobody around here has a xbox with a mod chip that I can ftp into. The only way I can get it is if someone posts it somewhere.

But could someone be kind enough to send me the files? We could meet up on some program like direct connect or something.
