Exploits like yours are now stopped.

So, get a modchip!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

the whole reason i got into the modding scene is because, it had reached the point where I no longer have to open up your xbox and solder shit. sonofabitch.....

Sounds like M$ rocked your world, then.

Ironic that they choose Sept. 11th to tear down the two main exploits, eh?

I always suspected M$ had Middle Eastern roots...

ph34r.gif

I find that post to be in horrible taste.  Not only is it loaded with crap (MS didn't ear anything down the exploits still work)  but it's just in bad taste.  So please take your garagefull of modchips that you can't sell and/or your bitterness that you sunk $50 into a mod chip elsewhere or at the very minimum, try and have a little class.  I had a mod chip too.  I didn't cry when they were made obsolete.  I gave it away.

ok nice , I don't plan on touching the xbox live button ever , so i won't get the new dash and thus won't auto connect to live and thus my exploits will stay working , beautimus.. thanks guys! --Bikr

And you most likely will not be able to play some new games that come out, because MS will most definitely automatically update your dash when you play/install them.  They will not let those software exploits survive, their goal is to make it as difficult as possible so every average person can't do it.  Most people don't want to (or aren't capable) of opening their Xbox so modchips aren't as big a deal.

Again efforts like that will be cracked within 15 minutes.  Quit crying cuz you sunk $50 bucks into a modchip and deal with the fact that it's no longer the primary way of modding and some argue that it's obsolete.  Stop trying to tell people and scare newbies into thinking their software exploit is dead.  Any newbies having any questions can just look at this poster's date of sign-on and see he signed on to x-s for the first time in July.  Same month the exploit was released.  This is a bitter poster who wants to chant doom and gloom to the exploit because he sunk money into a mod chip perhaps days before it was worthless.  I on the other hand was here before I was running evox.  I was here with an enigma, an x-ecuter 1, a matrix, and now an exploit.  So don't even try it.

The exploit is FINE.  Itr's just dangerous to run Live on the same box as an exploit is installed.  Sollution, use your 8 gig drive as your live drive.  Buy a big drive and use that for your exploit.  It's useless to mod a system with an 8 gig drive anyway.  What's the point when all the fun comes from the bigger hard drive.  To manage the hard drives, team x-ecuter is making a great case with many features one of which is a hard drive selection switch.  So no, the software exploit has gone NOWHERE for anyone who wants to use it.  In fact it was no wiser to run XBL on an exploited system (with the same hard drive) 2 weeks ago than it is today.  So really, nothing has changed as far as the mod scene goes.  It's "keep your eyes open" as it always has been.

The next big question is what will we do with auto sign in games that will be coming out soon. How will we play them off our hard drives?

Unplug your eithernet cable, change the access to the internet from your router (make the xbox i private)  A lot of things can be done.

There are fixes for everything....cracks will be made.

Keep dreaming.  MS can kill all the software exploits without even flexing their muscles.  If the update is imbedded in the game or the game is simply coded to NOT run unless the Live 2.0 update is taken, there is no choice.

7 pages already, asked two times, and no answers.
That's the only thing we VGA adapter users want to know.
Is it too much to ask ?

(unless I'm so tired as to have missed it. If then apologies and please direct me to it)

I've just updated mine and the answer is NO I'm afraid. sad.gif

This will never be done, unless the retail game updates the dash because not all people have access to a broadband connection.

I bought a mod chip because it's the better and a more flexible solution.  And, I am well aware that console companies do not care about the hard core hacker that is determined to hack his Xbox.  This will always happen.  What they do want to do is make sure it is not EASY to mod your Xbox, ie the software hacks.  This can cause everybody and their mother to hack their box, which has a huge impact on sales.  As long as it is difficult, the losses are minimized.  This is why these software hacks have been targeted, and will continue to be.

Who's crying about a mod chip??  WTF do I care about $50?   I make $50 in 1/2 hour, or spend $100 at dinner on Friday night, I could care less.  Just because you had to save your weekly allowance for 2 years to buy a mod chip, doesn't mean it hits the pocketbook of your average person.  Buying a mod chip is chump change.

If you don't believe MS can force an install of Live 2.0 in future games, and make it uncrackable, you are in dreamland.  They can easily make Live 2.0 a requirement in future games and there will be nothing that can be done about it.  If MS wants to force you to have Live 2.0 on your box, you will.

Wow you're supper l33t because you open your mouth 300 times on a forum and been a member for a whole year!?  Not everyone posts every time a random thought crosses their mind (not to mention having a job impacts that as well).  Congratulations for being a super cool elite xbox hacker.

P.S.  I was supplying games for Pentagram and Genesis when you were in diapers.

That is precisely what we are talkign about.  The retail game checks to see if you have Live 2.0, and will not run unless you have it.  It updates it on the fly for you.
