« on: August 30, 2003, 12:31:00 PM »

I got banned from xbl , so i got another eeprom and flashed with it , now i get a different error : Indstead of a "recent hardware or software change" (the ban msg) now its :

Could Not Connect To Xbox Live Check these Possible options:

- If You Connect Through a router , verify that athe Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) on the router is set to 1365 or greater.

-If You connect through a Pc Using ICS (Internet COnnection Sharing) , see xbox.comconnect for more information

- Your ISP may require additional steps to use Xbox Live. See www.xbox.comconnect for information specific to your ISP.

Now i do connect through a router , But its an MS Router and Says Its Xbox Compatible. But evenm when i do a direct connection from modem to xbox it gives me a DNS error. This never happened before i changed the eeprom. What Should i do And How Should I Fix.Xbox Live has been running good since Christmas 2002 till today when i got banned please help...

Since you changed your MAC address with the EEPROM switch, do you know if you set your router to accept a certain listing of MACs?

About the IP setting, you can not set a certain IP for your Xbox with your router.

About the MAC address, you can set your router to only allow certain MAC addresses access to your router. If you do not know about this, then thats not a problem. Setting certain MACs is user-directed, and if XBC works, then thats not a problem.

Hmm, did you try going into Live and setting the connection to automatic?

either that or change ip addy

What?

Anyways, rock-box, I suggest trying a different EEPROM  wink.gif

If Live worked before for you, sounds like an issue with your EEPROM. So, try another one that you can get your hands on.
