The problem has gone away now.  For those interested, I had to go into the MS Dashboard and changed the values for every setting in there (had to change every field of the time data!) previously I just went in to change the screen and audio settings, but once i drastically changed the time settings as well, then it worked fine after shutting down from that dash and rebooting after a few mins.

This tutorial is so outdated! How about getting off your ass & updating it with how to get unbanned now?! This tut covers previous methods which no longer work!

Uh..I was wondering if game saves are still usable after my 120gb is banned ?? Can I just copy everything from E drive on my computer for now and transfer it back to the new hard drive I will be installing ?? Doing that leaves any traces ?? Like how this hard drive was originally banned and all.

I am really trying to keep the game saves if I were to get a new HD.

I just tried to update my EEPROM using ConfigMagic, and for some reason, the MS Dashboard detects the new MAC address incorrectly and shows no serial number. I think the EEPROM is not being flashed correctly. I am running a version 1.4 Xbox. And help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

I recently flashed a new virgin eeprom to my xbox and now I have an interesting problem.  I've searched this forum and a few others and couldn't find anything.
