you'll probably need a new stock hard drive as well.  Popular theory is that you hard drive is being banned along with your eeprom.  I got back on live with both of these new.

Perfect tutorial at the beginning of the thread, would help alot if config magic supported v1.6 xboxes. I didn't read the whole thread cause its 3:06am and Im tired. I have a banned v1.6 xbox with smartxx chip, I also have a 1.1 xbox that has never been on live but I gave it to my nephew that will never use live. How can I use the eeprom from the 1.1 xbox on my 1.6 xbox. What eeprom app supports 1.6 xboxes?

The theory is that you've screwed yourself by getting your original eeprom, your big hd and your stock hd all banned. Oh, you've got your gamertag flagged as well and will need a new one if you want to use a big hd on live too.

The Halo 2/Nov 9th XBL Bannings - AKA Marriage Theory

From what I can tell, you only get banned if you swap your HD *after* you first go onto XBL with a given Xbox.

If you're planning to upgrade an Xbox's HD, you need to do it before you first connect it to XBL.

But if you didn't do your upgrade before you signed on to XBL with that Xbox the first time, then you depending on the dates you did sign on, you might have to change your harddrive AND eeprom! Or you could just get another xbox and leave it stock wink.gif

And finally, remember to use an XBL blocking BIOS so you don't get banned for having an active modchip!

Hi guys
I have a problem on flashing a new EEPROM on my XBOX for unbanning it. I was banned 3 days agom 24h after I played Halo 2 on Live sad.gif . Now I have prepared an original HD with Slayers 2.6 and I have a new EEPROM. I tried to flash the EEPROM using ConfigMagic following the tutorial but when I select "load EEPROM from a .bin file" it shows this error message: "EEPROM ENCRYPTED REGION INVALID" sad.gif . The EEPROM is from a backup made by Ldots 1.7.5 so I think it's all right. My friend tried to send it twice just in case the first file was damaged but SAME ERROR. My Xbox is a V1.0, the EEPROM is from a V1.6 is that the problem?
Thanks for your help

ok....so me like an idoit....had two xbox's ftp'd into...and i grabbed the .bin file from the wrong xbox...so i updated it with the same shiznit...but anyway....everything was fine.... So I returned to evox menu after using Config Magic on my box....Then I turned it off, turned off the chip, and tried to access Live, which of course didn't work, so i turned the xbox off. I realized the problem and tried to turn the xbox back on to start over with the FTP, and I got nothin, nothin but the god dam MS Dash I paid $80 bucks to never se again. So Now I can't get my Evox Dash to boot....after checkin the ribbon and the switch 80 times over. Any Ideas....I have had problems with the ribbon before...but always got evox back up within three tries...And I'm nowcounting like 50+. PLEASE HELP

And also what happens if people with the same eeprom are using XBL at the same time.......

Just curious...and if that never happens can two box's use live with the same eeprom....excluding the marriage Theory

new EEPROM is only a temp fix, you will get rebanned after 24hrs or so in most cases.

I used config magic final to update my eeprom with a new unbanned eeprom, but now when i boot up, it won't load my original games and dumps me straight to my EvoX dash.  Both EEPROMs and my games are R4.

I have checked and triple checked the configmagic settings and they appear correct.
