Lol, Im not suprised this reached this forum, but it did take a while. Its been all over the xbox.com RTCW forums. You can only do it in RTCW.

And no....that guy wasnt an admin. He was a buddyh of mine who is in my clan AoA (you might have even seen me). It is actually quite a simple procedure to put color in your name in RTCW, but its kinda hard to explain. You are on the right track though....you use the ^4, ^2....etc. You just gotta mess around with some files on your box over an FTP/

mod chip on or off....it doesnt matter. As long as you can edit the file over an FTP, your good.

I cant believe piracy posted a tutorial on that, but whatever. You just find the nicknames.xbn file, and edit it. It looks alot harder than it really is

umm....

I DONT have a mod chip......

But anyways....you can do this without even having a modded xbox. Although mine IS modded (without a mod chip though), I have a friend whos box isnt modded at all, and he has some colored names. MS cant give him any shit for that whatsoever.

He FTP to his xbox though the 007 glitch, but he never actually installed evox, he just messed with his nickaname files, then never installed evox.

But whatever, I think they are cool. I have some cool ones, and I use em. I dont use them in servers with people I dont know most of the time anyways

P.S. it SUCKS being constantly asked how I changed my color, but it IS cool not be able to be voted off in RTCW.

What I did was change it so that it doesn't appear that my color has changed.

I made it "Username^3", which means I can't be voted off, but when I call a vote it ends up like:

Username called a vote.

People in spectator mode have told me my username shows up as Green when watching me. I guess I will change the color to White.
