I disagree. Most people will sell you a new eeprom for 10 bucks. Installing them is easy, just ask for help if you need it. Once you do it once, you'll have no problem doing it again.

I doubt you will screw up enough times to warrant buying another Xbox, even taking into account the minor hassle of worrying about it and dealing with eeproms.

Ok heres the deal, if your using a pc with a router and your xbox is pluged into the router, you more than likely have an ip adress like 192.168.0.* to your xbox...

When evox is first ran it resets your IP, to whatever is set in its *.ini, so if you run a game from your HDD, the system STILL has the IP from that. I know this becuase every time I "flip the switch" to go on live, I get the "cannot connect to live" and then it goes to the trouble shooter, where it shows that my IP settings are on MANUAL and set to what EVoX had. When I put it back on automatic, I am connected.

Another great way to bypass Live with the chip on is to have a password for your acct.

Just remove your dam live account. With the new Dash that's comming out I'm betting that it'll mess up alot of modded box's anyways. Buy another xbox, used even, and use that for live, that's what I did

OR U CAN just have your live account saved to a memory card and just pop it in when ever u wanna play and remove it when u dont

What if...someone made something, not software, but hardware, that will block the lpc ports and the switch will turn off the d0 point when wanted....couldn't we do that?

another question, if MS did hdd scanning, could they search on the F drive, if so, is ther e a way to put evox on there and launch it?

I couldnt agree more, and for those who say that it isnt economical, just use the money your saving from NOT BUYING GAMES (i know we are supposed to have the original copies, but some of us dont think this way).

and, if when evox does the ip settings, and then i switch my modchip off and log onto live, and says it can't log in, so i troubleshoot, and it says it can't log in cuzza ip, cuz it was set to evox settings before, does this mean that i am also safe from the update, lol

Wow.. EBgames is now offering Xbox live starter kit AND PSO for $50. For the first time, I am really tempted to go Live.

When does that new dashboard come out?

wouldn't that be fucking funny as hell if Xbox Live Now 2.0 is installed on the xbox named "evoxdash.xbe" in the root of C:\

I think it would be a halarious weak attempt to disable us from usin our modded xbox's!!
( i know, don't insult me, just trying to make a joke)
