Are you running any apps on your PC taking up bandwidth? I always turn off Kazaa before I use Live or XBConnect

my friend got banned (he did not know you had to have the chip off!) and he cannot even connect, so I dont think that is the case here. It does not sound like a bandwidth problem since you are connected for a fairly reasonable amount of time. Is it almost exactally the same amount of time each time? You getting disconnected every 5 min is odd. Also more odd that your unmodded doesn't get booted. Maybe it has something to do with the memory card. I have used my tag on another xbox with no problem, but then again that other xbox that I used it on was unmodded.

The same thing has been happening to me, and my Xbox isn't even modded yet.
