No doubt it is possible for them to do this. Thats why you'll find more and more of us are making our BIOSes boot to F, and storing EVERYTHING we use in F. When your modchip is turned off your xbox doesnt even see the F partition as being there, so as long as you have everything in F, M$ could scan all they like, they wouldnt find anyhting.

And as for invasion of privacy, they would just update their EULA for using live, if you dont accept the new terms they wont let you on, its pretty much that simple with these world domination driven corporations.

EDIT: Typos  blink.gif

Couldn't they still look for saves under E: that aren't from official software (like emulator savestates or other stuff like that)?

But if they started doing that, i doubt it would be long before all the writers of the emulaters and other programs made save into a special saves folder on the F partition, as i dare say this could easily be done (i might be wrong), and it would be done if it was a much requested feature. And if they didnt im sure it wouldnt be long before a program thats in competition to theirs did makes saves to F, so they most likely would change thiers also to keep ahead of the pack.

EDIT: Damnit i suck at typing today, so many typos  sad.gif

Set your option in evox.ini to yes for use F drive.

Also if you have the original HDD, you will need to format F, tutorials can be found in the tutorial section.

You might not gain any space from F though, it depends which HDD you have as the original. If you have the WD HDD then you wont gain anything, but if you have the Seagate then you'll gain about 2GB

i have a 120 gig locking hd with all my extras on the f drive and have had no problems yet.  with the x2 pro you can run different bios so m$ will think that the system has not been modded.  hopefully they will never figure out a way to find out

Naw its easy to put everything on F, and yup, you put your backuped stuff on F too, like the folder to read your bioses you want to flash, insted of C:/bios/ it would be F:/bios/ there really is nothing to it, shouldnt take you more than 5mins tops to set it up.

They could also pull up the hard disc info file - even if the drive is locked, there's a data file that says the brand of drive and model number -  easy way to ban modded boxes, since most of us can't resist adding a bigger drive...

I'm not even talking about scanning the drive, just reading the model number evox has this feature, as does your computer's motherboard( when you boot) - MS knows what brands and models of hard discs is has installed, anything else  and pffft... no live...

Nice that someone is thinking...X-Man and I have discussed this and it is a good idea on MS's side.
BUT, then we would just use the retail HD for Live.
