So if evoxdsah.xbe is on my HD even if I'm booting to msxboxdash.xbe with MOD off,  MS can detect it?

If you can read french , here's the link that tells that Microsot can detect unsigned .xbe files and it gives which files should be on the HD before going on LIVE

No no no, is is untrue MS searches your HD for games or other applications. You didn't hear it here because it is untrue.

BTW, your link doesn't work. Does it link to another message board? Seriously, XS is the top Xbox message board where lies are not spread. I have been to other boards and can't stand being there because of obvious lies being spread there.

They probably already have ideas like this for the new Xbox Live dashboard this Fall. MS is smart and probably have more ideas about banning us then we could think of...

I checked the link and it'S OK.  It's not a message board, it's a tutorial.  My HD should be here tomorrow so will get into that.
Thanks for the info.

Page still doesn't load for me...

if you just keep your original HD and swap it just for using xbox live as I do, there isnt anything to worry about. Its like having 2 xbox's.

But, if you get banned, then you are still screwed.

MS has known how to ban people every different way imaginable since the start.  They chose a way and thats what they will stick with IMO.    And if they don't....well a new xbox will be 150 dollars by then (and that is the worst case scenerio).
Has there been a workaround for MS' current technique to keep modchips off xbox live?  No.  They have accomplished what they set out to do.
