Xbox-live Slayer's Question
« on: April 26, 2003, 03:51:00 PM »

This is why I do not like Slayer's. There is NO such thing as a patch for a dashboard. It does not exist.

To use Xbox Live:
MS dash has to be xboxdash.xbe
EvolutionX can be evoxdash.xbe
HD has to be locked
Modchip has to be off

What does your evox.ini say as far as what the original dash =?  Does it say msxboxdash.xbe?  If so change that to xboxdash.xbe.

Just delete the yboxdash and msxboxdash.xbe's off of your c drive.

remove those 2 executables make sure your evox.ini file is correct and then you should be ok.

yboxdash.xbe and evoxdash.xbe are the same thing. It depends on what BIOS you use, chooses which to boot when the modchip is on. When the modchip is off, xboxdash.xbe will boot (thus why it has to be the MS dash)

See these problems Slayer's gives you? It is always best to do modding yourself...

QUOTE
Can I leave the yboxdash.xbe, msxboxdash.xbe and evoxdash.xbe on my hard drive? Or will i have trouble when i install xboxlive?

You sound good, but you just really just need one of those. Which being evoxdash.xbe. No, it won't interfere

Remember, MS dash has to be xboxdash.xbe and install Live with modchip off.

If you are able to FTP to your xbox you should be able to delete files as well.  Just delete yboxdash and msxboxdash.  Clean up that shit.  Your C drive is cluttered with nonsense thanks to Slayer's auto install.
