If Gameshark Works Like Ar2 For Ps2, Live Possible

Ok, first i need to know how the GameShark for Xbox works, i live in Europe,i got ActionReplay 2 for PS2, now i play PS2 backups without mod by using ONLY AR2. If GS or AR2 for Xbox works the same way as for PS2, it is very possible to play Xbox backups on Live. if anyone tryed GS or AR2 for xbox, please let me know weather the GS or AR2 CD stop turnning after you choose the cheat code and it tells you to change to the game CD.

I'm not sure weather SONY will detect a PS2 with mod ON online like MS, but i'm sure i can play PS2 backup online even they can detect the mod,because no mod installed in my PS2.

Your anwser is maybe too short, do you know how GameShark for Xbox works? if no,do not say "no".

If you can play PS2 backups WITHOUT a modchip using PAR2, then are you peforming the swap trick which involved taking the PS2 apart? What PS2 modchip do you have?

I NEVER bought a modchip for my PS2, just AR2 V1.9 PAL, with a small stick that i got from my gf,that's all, i have 72 PS2 backup games(9 CD, 63 DVD,some on PAL some on NTSC), there are only GT-Tokyo, GrandiaX,can not be read, all the others works fine,i think you should know this little tecnique for playing backup without modchip.

Yes.

But anyways, you can't just put in the PAR CD, then insert backup, and then the backup loads. At least not on NTSC machines. You have to do a swap trick which involves physically taking apart the PS2 and leaving it apart for playing backups.

That means Sony do not detect the mod when online? ok, if that, my idea is no usefull for PS2 online,but it REALLY should work with Xbox,just because MS can detect mod. If  AR2 for Xbox work like for PS2,i mean it stop running before we take the AR2 CD out, we can surely play xbox backup game without mod,so no problem on LIVE.

Yes, we do know what we are talking about. As hiredmuscle said so simply, a Xbox is not a PS2.

For example, to play a Dreamcast backup, run the DC Gameshark, and swap discs. Very easy method that doesn't involve a modchip.  But, this same method can not be used with the PS2. You need to modchip to perform the swap trick with the PS2.

Remember how to play backups with the Playstation? You hold down the corner lid button and swap discs between a backup and an original.

Every system has a different method to be playing backups. One method on one system will not work with another system.

There *might* be a PAR method with the Xbox, but with what we know about the Xbox and its BIOS, I doubt it.

Maybe my english is too poor, if that, sorry :lol:

I think you didn't understand my situation, i'm Playing All my PS2 backup without any modchip installed,no need, i only use AR2 for PS2 to play backup.

I'll still try the AR2 for xbox,so pray for me,haha.

When I was following PS2 modding, this method you claim works, I never heard of. Does it work for EA games too? Does it work for CDR and DVDR? Can you post a link?
