I Have No Sounds Anymore After Deleting Xblive!
« on: March 17, 2003, 08:31:00 AM »

First off, wrong board. There is a newbie (no offense) board for these kind of questions.

Secondly, you deleted YOUR E drive and transfered over your friends? Well, unfortunately, all YOUR saved games are gone. Also, the D drive is the DVDROM drive.

No sound? Is there sound at the MS dash?

because I'am banned from xboxlive! and there is someone who wants to buy it from me because he is not going to play live...bud i thougt that it would be good to delete xboxlive..so I deleted al partitions accept for the one where all me backup games are on and replace tham with partitions from a xbox where xblive! never has been installed you get me? and now I have this problem...do you think that it will workd to format my whole drive and replace it woth the data from the other xbox?

Yeah, you can format your Xbox (AND LOSE ALL YOUR GAMES AND SAVES) to get the identity of your friends Xbox.

But, doesn't matter if you are banned, having Live doesn't hurt your Xbox in any way. Do you still have the backup of your C drive? When you install Live, it does move some folders around on the C drive.

I recommend just moving back your C drive so you won't lose your games.

Just check out the tutorials to learn how to make a EvolutionX CD that has format options on it.

also, on this xbox tricks and tips site that seemed legit, they said there was a way to format the xbox hdd without having a modchip too, it may be the best way to format it because it returns it to stock (it leaves all the nesassary dash files and everyhting). It was some combonation of buttons at the Xbox info section on options in the msdash. If i find it ill post the url

Woah, really??

But, he said he was running an upgraded HD (I think) and the MS dash reformat (if possible) wouldn't make a partition for F

Is your friend's HDD using the same kernel version as your XBox? That might make a diff too...not sure tho.

I used FlashFXP Raw Commands to format my bigger drive. Look in the older tutorial (by Sandman) for installing EvoX (the updated tutorial might have the commands as well, but I'm sure the older tutorial has them).
