ph34r.gif nope...  you need a new eeprom..  just changing the numbers will not help because the ban flag is already set in your eeprom ph34r.gif

I think you misunderstand, I want to get the codes out of my xbox (Which isn't banned, never been on live) to send to someone else to set their xbox up fo live.
I assumed I only needed config magic to get the codes off of the xbox.

For instance, if I change the Xbox Serial, Online key of my banned eeprom to that of an unbanned one, will I be ok to go on Live?  Or would I have to change all the values to that of the unbanned eeprom (the ones mentioned plus MAC, HDD key, HDD Model number, HDD serial number)?  Actually, is it even possible to change the HDD Model and HDD serial numbers?

Also, is it possible for MS to detect that if you have the MAC addy of your old unbanned eeprom, to make the link and ban your new info?

Thanks for any help!

ph34r.gif YOu cannot just change the info, you have to upload a new eeprom. ph34r.gif

Are things such as the ban flag set in the EEPROM?

My question is as follows.  Could you backup a unbanned EEPROM with ConfigMagic and save it somewhere safe.

Then with a router you block the Xbox's access to the internet.

If you want to play on Live you first unblock the Xbox, then you use ConfigMagic to restore the original EEPROM backup that's unbanned.

Say you keep the same EEPROM on all the time such as never loading a known banned EEPROM.  If Live gets started but can't connect, would reflashing with the previous good EEPROM keep you from being banned on Live?  Or is banning information hidden somewhere on the HD, and could restores of the C: and E: make it so you don't get banned on a reconnect?

ph34r.gif #1 yes  #2 yes #3 yes #4 humm good question.   more than likey if the eeprom gets banned and you have a backup of that eeprom that was not banned i think that M$ will see that sn# and just bann it again.  but that is a good question. ph34r.gif

the live servers ban your specific eeprom, so no, doesnt matter if u restore an old one. just like if u use a friends, and get banned, their xbox will be banned too

Yes, you can edit the EEPROM by using edit on-the-fly. Change serial number, HDD Key, and any other zero values.

To edit the EEPROM by choosing "Build EEPROM from BIN file". Change the zero values to match the unbanned EEPROM.

Check www.team-assembly.com for a nice video of this process

This isn't quite what I'm asking.

The Xbox cannot connect to the Internet by either a router blocking it or no network cable.

The Live option is clicked with the modchip on (from my reading here it seems this should mark the box as to be banned).

Could you then reflash a copy of the eeprom from before the Live option was picked, and this would keep the Xbox from being banned?
