I think you can, if you are looking to get banned this is the way to do it.

for now indeed you are. But then again, why would you need to use a backup to play XBL if you own the original?

totally agree. I have small fired in my DVD case's all the damn time. They are getting annoying and very costly.

I've had my DVD and Game case catch on fire many times for apparently no reason. Boy am I glad I backed up all "my" games to my HD!

Then what is the point of a backup?

A backup is to prevent the loss or destruction of the original.

You only have to destroy the backups when ownership of the original changes hands such as your selling or giving it away to someone.
