I don't know that you will get the speeds you want.  You are sharing the internet connection with everyone else on the campus.  I tried to play someone from another college that was using the same kinda setup and wow was it slow.  Good luck trying though.

Hey it's not your download but upload speed that matters.  Go to DSLreports.com and check your upload speed, 128kbps is good.  Also check your ping latency, how many miliseconds does it take you ping yahoo dot com? Anything above 200 is trouble.

yeah the best thing you could do is check dslreports to check your upload and ping latency. i'm on a ics with my neighbor...sharing with about 6 pc's. sometimes my ping will be crazy high...but usually it's decent. and bieng on a university network there's a lot of people sharing your connection. even with t3 it all depends on how much upload speed you can get. i share cable, and i get an upload of anywhere from 128 to 250. it just all depends on how much your network is bieng hit up. good luck with it though. free internet at the u is nice. i miss my school network.
