Live Detects Bios Right?

Eh, it sounds like it would work, but I really don't suggest it. Just install switches to be safe

Shana is right about two things.  Install the switch and dont use Slayers Install.

seriously though, you are much better off if you have an on/off switch for the chip because nobody knows what M$ will put out to detect chips or what not.

Live Detects Bios Right?

looking for a follow up to this...

Does the xbox load the bios into memory when it boots? or is it a one time deal at the beginning?

Also does xboxlive goto the tsop/chip to do the bios checksum? or looks in memory?

smile.gif the xbox works simply by booting up, bios is loaded into memory, and only cleared when the xbox is switched off.  This meaning that there is a bios in memory ready and waiting for m$ xbox live to come take a look when you connect to their servers.  We all know what happens next.

Would there be a need for a switch with the Matrix?  I'm thinking no, since Mode 3 turns the matrix off, but because you start the xbox with matrix bios loaded into the RAM, does doing the mode 3 eject thing UNLOAD the matrix bios from the RAM (even if it didn't reset)?
