I've heard of lots of people trying to talk their way out of being banned. But nobody succeding. MS's position is:
1) The only way you will get banned is if you modified the console in some way.
2) Once you mod the console it can *never* be brought to its original condition.
3) Only consoles in their original condition are allowed on the Live service.

All other answers given by support will be between answer 2 and 3 from then on out.

Oh, and you say you bought the console from someone and they may have done something to it... to bad. Take it up with the person or place you bought the console from.

But that's the last I've heard on the subject. I doubt if things have changed.

I called xbox live with the number on the back of the set up cd and told them i couldnt get online with xbox live an that it passes all test except for the last one cant connect to xbox live. The guy told me to press "y" an my X,Y,Z would come up so i read the numbers to him an he said hold on let me talk to my superviser. He came back an told me that i was banned. He said have u took it apart, i said no but it's been droped.. he said well give me the serial # on the X,Y,Z screen at the top, i did. an then he wanted my S/N on the bottom of the xbox, i told him it didnt have one, and that i bought it from someone. He told me that someone will call me in 24 to 72 hours.

Does that mean they might unband me or give me a warning?

So if i do get banned an i go out an buy a new system, will i still be able to use my same xbox live cd or same account ?

Yes, install Live via your Live CD and do account recovery

Yeah. MS was nice enough to NOT ban your Xbox Live Account. All they do is block your Xbox from ever using Xbox Live Again.

Which I already said....but if you get a unbanned EEPROM, you can get back on to Live with your Xbox.
