If the switch is selecting the original bios at power-up, you will be safe for that time.

If the switch is selecting a modified bios at power-up, you are not safe and must avoid attempting to connect to Live, or have the new dash launch or be updated.

AGAIN answering this question.
Now I know why shanafan has so many posts.  Try searching people.

But I'm board today so...

If you read the top you now know that you must avoid launching the updated dash, so thats where ybox helps.  Ybox causes yboxdash.xbe to launch instead of xboxdash.xbe (launches normally on power-up).  You can then make yboxdash.xbe an alternate dash, that does not do banning.

So it helps protect yourself from launching xboxdash.xbe when the mod is enabled.

And how do I know all this???  I've never asked about it, nor did I discover it.  It's called search and read.

Well you can, you can play for maybe a few days, until you get banned and then you can't even get on live with original games.

ok last question here ppl then im gonna install my shizznat

im going to install a matrix with external disable switch and evox v2.5 bios with blue mod as well newest version of evo dash.

so with this in my box i will be able to do any of those lovely things id like when mod is enabled and when it is disabled i can use my xbox as a normal xbox and play live all i want???????

Yes, but your HD has to be locked. When you disable the mod, the original BIOS wants a locked HD. Also, you can use a locked HD with the mod on and nothing is bad about it.
