Yes, just make sure it is off when you play. And make sure your HD is locked too

Yep.

You just need a chip that you can disable when you want to use Live, and that includes pretty much all the current generation.

There's a few considerations, but it's possible.

Did you have any particular chip in mind, or do you know what you want to do?
