XboxLive installs a Modchip detecting dashboard.

If you goto the original xbox dashboard with the mod active after you install xboxLive.
The xbox dashboard will detect the mod.
The next time you logon to Live the xbox's serial eeprom will be reported, recorded and banned.

I thought that was what you were getting at... doh!
Gotta love english, huh?

Anyways,
I think what your asking is if you have to replace (or add another?) the dashboard again after installing xbox Live?
You dont need to but it sure helps to keep from accidentally banning yourself.
You dont need any dashboard other than the M$ dash to play backups.
You seriously need to check out the Xbox Live Tutorials ::

Remember tho... if you turn on your xbox just once with the mod active
and goto original dash after Live is installed your going to get banned.

wrong. Ive gone to my dashboard and so has many other and NO BAN has happened. its been a month. you can go on the updated dashboard with no problems of bans as long as you dont click the go live button. and to be safe if you are playing games with the live function, a) delete all the dashboard update files and xblive files on the backup to make sure nothing will go wrong. cool.gif pull out the cat5 plug that runs to the ethernet port of your xbox to be on the safe side, then voila your done. End of story.
Have a nice day ph34r.gif
