. (NOT to the connector but to the now Loose wire)
(N.B. This yellow wire is not used by the XBOX controller)
5) Insulate this join with a piece of tape and reconnect the connector.
6) Set your Matrix to SWITCH 1 ON, 2 OFF and assemble the XBOX.
7) Now disassemble a controller so that you can get to the reverse of the circuit board.
Locate the Yellow wire and cut this from the connector.
9) With the 2cm wire, extend the yellow cable and insulate the join with a piece of tape.
10) Now solder the extended wire to TP18 on the controller.
11) Reassemble the controller.
NOW YOU ARE READY TO TEST YOUR XBOX.
To Start with the MATRIX in Operation. (ON)Turn on XBOX as normal.
To Start with MATRIX Disabled (OFF) Make sure XBOX is off.
Put controller in port 4.
HOLD down the START button and turn on XBOX.
MATRIX Should flash red, remove finger from START.
Put controller back in Port 1.
MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE MATRIX EACH TIME BEFORE GOING TO XBOX LIVE. THATÂ’S IT.
