To use Xbox Live successfully with a modded Xbox with the modchip off, the MS dashboard filename ALWAYS ALWAYS has to be xboxdash.xbe

When you run the Xbox Live CD for the first and only time, it will update your MS dashboard with the Xbox Live tab. And, during installation, it is updating xboxdash.xbe

Even though the MS dash might never get updated again, it is best to leave it at xboxdash.xbe

Now, you want to flash your Matrix with a BIOS that boots either yboxdash.xbe or evoxdash.xbe. It doesn't really matter, as long as it is not xboxdash.xbe.

So, what is yboxdash or evoxdash? It the default file that will boot when you power the Xbox on. The files are usually your EvolutionX dashboard.
