Xbox Live And Content Downloads
« on: December 17, 2002, 06:41:00 PM »

Does anyone know how the Xbox Live content downloads (like new levels for Splinter Cell and such) are stored on the Xbox? Does it just temporarily store it in memory or harddrive?

I'm asking because I was wondering if it would ever be possible to backup these content downloads, and put them on a cd/dvd. So, does anyone know if this would be possible?

Also, (very off topic here, but hey) , is the part of the eeprom that holds the "Xbox Live Serial" made up of numbers, or is it like a data file? Or don't I know what I'm talking about?

Re: The extra content is stored on the E: partition under it's respective folders.

The Game Saves manager will automatically zip and store these files for you on your PC.

This has been covered many times previously.

Yes you don't know what you are talking about.

Thanks for the info on the first part. I'm sorry about posting it, I didn't realize it was asked before. (I did do some research and couldn't find anything). Like I said, thanks.

As for the second part, yeah, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about. But still, what makes up the "Xbox Live Serial" code? Is it just a bunch of numbers or something else?
